Scar revision

Our scar revision treatments utilise advanced laser technology as part of a personalised treatment approach designed to support skin quality and the overall appearance of scars. Commonly incorporated into tailored treatment plans, treatment may be considered for a range of scar concerns while supporting smoother-looking skin and improved skin texture. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual's skin concerns, treatment goals, and clinical assessment. A consultation is required to determine treatment suitability.

This treatment may be suitable for:

  • Surgical scars

  • Acne scarring

  • Traumatic scars

  • Textural skin concerns associated with scarring

  • Overall skin quality concerns associated with scar tissue

Treatment considerations include:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Recent sun exposure or tanning products

  • Active skin infection, inflammation, or impaired skin integrity

  • Certain allergies, medical conditions or medications that increase photosensitivity

  • Individual treatment contraindications as determined by your medical practitioner

Begin with a personalised skin consultation and assessment. Our qualified practitioners will guide you through the treatment process, including aftercare recommendations, expected recovery, and any potential risks or side effects to support informed decision-making.

The treatment approach is tailored to the type, location, and characteristics of the scar being treated. Depending on the treatment plan, you may experience warmth, tingling, or a prickling sensation as laser energy is delivered to the skin. The treatment is generally well tolerated, with temporary redness, swelling, warmth, and sensitivity commonly experienced following treatment.

Recovery and downtime vary depending on the treatment intensity and the type of scar being addressed. Mild dryness, flaking, or temporary darkening of treated areas may occur as part of the normal healing process.

A course of treatments is often recommended for optimal outcomes. Results develop progressively over time as the skin remodels, with gradual improvements in scar appearance, skin texture, and overall skin quality.

Results vary between individuals. All treatments are subject to consultation and suitability assessment.
